Caysen is getting so big!!

Within the last week, Caysen has decided that he loves to go pee on the potty!  He even poopied on the potty at daycare last Friday!  Since he is only 20 months, we do not expect a lot from him, but are still encouraging him to go!  He gets such an excited look on his face when he goes in the potty and then screams in excitement.  I don't really know what he is saying....But I'll assume it's "I did it!"  "I peed on the potty!"  "I'm such a big boy"!  :)  He also started saying " Ahhhh MAN!"  I'm trying to get a good video of this and I will post it when I get it!

Sick Again!

Caysen had been coughing since Sunday Night.  So I brought him to the doctor yesterday b/c his cough was not sounding good.  They did a test for RSV and a chest X-Ray for Phnemonia.  They both showed nothing.  So the doctor said that it was a virus and she didn't know why his cough was so weezy.  So he is on a steroid to help and nebulizer every 4-6 hours.  We spent the last two days together at home now.  I am thinking he should be ok to go back to daycare tomorrow.  We baked banana bread and cookies today and did a lot of laundry.  He loves being carried up and down in the laundry baskets...It's quite a work out for me carried a 27 pound baby up two sets up stairs!  I'm hoping this is Caysen's last trip to the doctor until his 2 year check up!!! 
Derrick has been pretty healthy although he was complaining of a stomach ache.  I think he just wanted to stay home with me and Caysen! :)

Sick Days!

Sorry it has been way to long since I have posted anything!  Lots has been going on, but it just doesn't seem TOO exciting!

Caysen came home early2 weeks ago (now) Wednesday from daycare because he had a temp.  He wasn't acting too bad and didn't seem to have a temp again...But figured since I had to go to Willmar anyways I had better bring him to the doctor because he usually have a calm before the storm!! ha.  So Thursday Caysen went to the doctor and got put on an antibiotic for an upper respitory infection.  I have a feeling this is just hte start of sickness in our house!  Since we were in Willmar I also brought the "sick" little guy to get his hair cut.  He sat VERY good!  I guess when we need him to sit still and quiet for something we should bring him when he's not feeling 100%!  He loves going to the doctor and loves to get into everything!  He especially loves riding the elevator.
After we picked Derrick up at daycare we went to have a snack at DQ!  Derrick loved this idea and scarfed down his icecream cone.  Caysen wasn't really too interested in the icecream but more interested in the little girl sitting in the next booth.  She blew Caysen a kiss right away.  It was the cutest thing.  Everything the one did the other would copy it.  She was about 2 weeks older than Caysen (I asked her mommy).  You could tell by the look on Caysen's face that he will be quite shy when it comes to girls!  I think this is a very good thing!!!
Caysen seemed to be doing well on his antibiotic, but this last Wednesday He had a temp of 102 at daycare, so I went and picked him up and when we got home it was 103.  I didn't really know what was wrong with him since he was just at the doctor and still on his antibiotic, so we brought him into the doctor again.  The Urgent Care doctor just said that it was just viral and he may run a temp and be uncomfortable with headache, etc and told us to finish up the antibiotic.  So we got to spend the day together again this Thursday.  He was quite whinny and wanted what he wanted and wanted right then!!!!  Go figure! :)  We thought he was all better and went to Daycare on Friday.  I got a call a little before noon that Caysen had a fever again, so we spent the afternoon together at home.  It was quite the week.
Derrick seems to be in the clear and not sick yet...but he has also not been him self.

Some of this may not make sense because I typed this 2 weeks ago...and then added to it....and now am adding to it again.  I kept forgetting about it!  I guess there has been too much going on here!

While Caysen was sick, he learned to get out of his crib.  I layed him down for a nap....and I was going to lay down also for a nap.  I thought I heard his door open, but didn't really think anything of it until Mr. Caysen came walking in my room, waved at me, and said "hi".  He did it twice in a row and then again that night...and has not done it since! (knock on wood)

Been Too Long!

So I realized it has been a very long time since I have posted anything on here!  It's time to do some catch up! 
Derrick has been doing well in his wrestling and has gotten 3 nice trophies!  We got his report card on friday and he got all E's!!!!!!  Can't get any better than that!  We are so very proud of him!  He also is reading the chapter book "Series of Unfortunate Events"  I think it's made for 12 year olds!  He is such a smart lil boy!
Caysen is talking up a storm!  He is constantly saying NO and No No!  He is copying everything we say...or at least trying to copy us!  He also is so very smart! 
Yesterday we went swimming at the KCC...Caysen didn't really enjoy it this time and seemed to get a temp...but was ok once we got home!

Today we went wrestling in Dawson.  Derrick got 2nd place!  I got to see him put a kid in the craddle.  It was very fun to watch!

We spent two weekends ago making cut out sugar cookies and frosting them.  The boys really enjoyed this....and they really enjoyed eating them!

Montevideo Wrestling last weekend.  Derrick got 4th place.  He seemed very tired that day and had mom coaching him instead of dad.....I don't really get in to it...just say "Go Derrick" ha ha
