Busy Busy Christmas's

So we had a very busy Christmas Season!  We started celebrating the week before Christmas at my Mom's House in Raymond with my Ascheman cousins and aunts and uncles.

On Friday night before Christmas Eve we headed to my Dad's house outside of Sacred Heart and celebrated with my siblings and step siblings and all the kids.  Caysen enjoyed pulling Isaac on the sled and stealing Abigail's presents!

On Christmas Eve Morning we went to my Mom's house in Raymond again and celebrated with my siblings!  Caysen got an awesome guitar, keyboard, and microphone that he loved to play with!  Derrick got his Uno Roboto that we enjoyed playing all weekend and a big drum set from his Uncle Matt and Kim!

We then headed over to my Grandma Hoefer's House in Benson to celebrate with all my Hoefer cousins and aunts and uncles.  Santa stopped to say hello and bring the kids gifts!  Caysen was not too sure about him, but Derrick of course loved him!

Christmas Eve night we headed up to Blaine to get ready to celebrate with the Lien's on Christmas Day!  Caysen didn't want to sleep that night, but Derrick sure slept well!  He lost his 3rd tooth on the way up to the cities!  He slept so well he missed the Tooth Fairy and Santa Clause!

Christmas day we had a nice lunch and after Grandpa Doug brought Keaton, Makenzie, Alexa, Lisa, and Doug to the airport, the boys opened their presents!  Derrick was very excited to get his Littlest Pet Shop game for Wii (even more excited then his wrestling guys lol).  Caysen got his vacuum which he loves and has already almost worn out a whole set of batteries!

Dan, Katie, and Cohen headed to our house Christmas night and spent all day Monday with us!  It was absolutely wonderful watching Caysen and Cohen play so well!  We don't have much to do in Granite Falls....so we went to eat lunch at Pizza Ranch and then headed to Walmart for some shopping fun! ha ha

We finally celebrated Christmas as a family at home on Tuesday night!  Derrick got his Carnival Games for Wii and Caysen got a drum set from his big brother!  See awesome performance below!

Derrick had his Christmas Program at Church the Wednesday before Christmas and he had a speaking park as the Innkeeper.  He did an awesome job and memorized his line very well!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and can't wait to have a great new year!

Caysen drummin away!

Caysen trying to show Cohen his favorite hiding spot!

My Computer is not liking me tonight and not letting me post any more pictures....so I will try again later!

Santa is Coming to Town!

This weekend we had a lot of Christmas events!  It started with Thursday night Santa Train in Raymond...we were a little late getting there or I should say the "train" was a little early!  Derrick got to dance with a ton of different characters and Caysen just watched.  We were going to sit on Santa's lap...but the line was in a circle around the whole community center...so Derrick just snuck a peek at Santa and we went and visited Grandma Cindy who wasn't feeling the best!  Saturday morning we headed to Breakfast with Santa at the KCC in town here to see Santa and do some fun activities with the 4H kids.  Derrick and Caysen decorated Cookies and made their own stockings.  Derrick also "made" his own fleece tie pillow....but really he just had the girl tie it for him and he stuffed it!  He also made a Snowman picture frame.  Caysen "colored" a nice picture for Santa Clause and quick ran to give it to him and ran away.  He still isn't too sure of that guy...but once he warms up to him he does allright!  I then ended up getting the stomach flu quite horrible and ended up missing my work Christmas Party!  I was a little disapointed because I was looking forward to the yummy food!  Derrick spent the night at Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Marvin's and helped make cookies on Sunday while I attempted to get healthy!  We are all now healthy here and hope to keep it that way for quite a while!  Here are some pictures from our Christmas adventures!

Derrick with Rudolph!

Caysen a LITTLE scared of Rudolph...and All the rest of the characters!

And then he quick ran away!  Thought maybe we'd get him close!

Caysen just LOVED walking down the bubble wrap and playing with all the balloons!

We finally got him to sit with Mrs. Clause!

C'mon Santa Look! ha

I guess he's a smart boy....why sit on Santa's lap when I can sit on his Wife's??????

D telling Santa he wants a Paint ball gun...really?  A Paint ball gun?  This is the first we really heard of this!

"Making" his pillow....It didn't last long and he had her tie it for him!

Making his picture frame!

Decorating his stocking....he ended up with almost the whole sheet of stickers on his stocking.  Caysen's is still at home waiting to be decorated!

Caysen taking a bite of his cookie!

Derrick finishing his pillow by putting the stuffing in!

Wednesday night fun with Caysen and Mom

Today Derrick had practice at Church for his Christmas Program and then they had mass....So I stayed home with Caysen since he was pretty crabby after supper.  He of course is pretty happy now!

Caysen playing and having his "snack" on the blanket like Daddy and Derrick do with their Nachos during Sunday Football!

Caysen saying his words for you all!  I apologize for you having to listen to me and for how beautiful I look! ha ha!  I didn't think I was getting myself in the picture and he did so good talking I couldn't try to get him to do this again!

Kelli's Birthday week!

I had a very awesome birthday week!  Derrick had a friend over on Friday night and we ordered pizza and had my yummy Reese's Blizzard Cake from DQ!  It was delicious and I have had a piece everyday since! ha ha!  We went to the new Mexican Resturant in Montevideo on Saturday night for my birthday and it was delicious!  Derrick of course had Chicken Strips and French Fries, Caysen enjoyed the Burrito and Fries!  Caysen has been saying words like crazy, he said "Nack" for Snack" and "UH-OH" and then "Duck", I think he's saying Derrick...but it's really hard to tell!  He has the cutest accent when he's talking, everything has a strong Ka sound like when you say "YUCKKKKK".  We also swear he said Giraffe when reading his Baby Einsten First Words book.  He points to the same pictures each time we read it and loves the deer and giraffe on the animal page.  He seems to keep getting more and more grown up!  Derrick is also really growing up....almost seems like a teenager with the attitude he has!  (As demonstrated in the second video! ha ha)

Just a little video of Caysen playing with the blinds...he usually lifts them up and stands on the heater and looks out the window.  I was trying to get him to say Uh Oh, but he was not having it....never talks when we want him too, of course!

Since all we had was videos of Caysen, Derrick wanted to do his own video.  He wanted to do a dance.  So we went up in Caysen's room since he has the most space.  Derrick kept laughing at Caysen dancing so I recorded some of Caysen.  At the end you can see Derrick get mad because I was recording Caysen and not him!

After about a half hour of Derrick being upset that he didn't have his own video and that he wanted his Kidz Bop CD instead of the other music he finally decided he wanted to do his own dance again.  So this time Caysen went downstairs with dad.  After his dancing Derrick complained he had a headache...I wonder why!  Of course now Derrick's video would not upload...I guess we'll have to do a shorter video! ha ha!  It must not have liked that it was 4 minutes long!

Caysen with his three dishes of food!

Caysen stepping on his toy to look out the window!

Caysen playing with the blind strings which was a big No No!

Thanksgiving in Blaine

For Thanksgiving Day we went to visit Granny Dude and Grandpa Doug in Blaine.  Caysen and Derrick spent Wednesday night with Grandma and Grandpa while Kelli and Brian went to the WILD game.  They had a lot of fun and stayed up late!

The boys got to visit and play with Great-Grandma Iskierka, Great Uncles Ron and Rick, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Mandy, and Cousins Hannah and Tyson!

We had a friendly fox in the front yard....until we realize maybe it wasn't friendly...but sick instead!  Derrick enjoyed keeping tabs on the fox and where it was and what it was doing.  Mandy enjoyed having "widdle dog" play with the fox also.  :)

Granny Dude made an awesome turkey and dinner!  Yummy Yummy!

We did not partake (sp?) in any Black Friday shopping, but today I pretty much finished up my Christmas shopping in Sioux Falls with friends Marcy and Marci!

Tomorrow we will celebrate Thanksgiving in Raymond with Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Marvin and my siblings.  Probably more pictures later!

Caysen didn't have a nap and was a little over exhausted by the time we headed home at 3 PM.  We have a few videos of Caysen playing and pictures of the fun all three boys had! :)

We finished up making our Christmas Cards and they are on their way to our house!

Caysen was jumping up and down and all excited...he must have gotten an extra burst of energy!

Christmas Decorating!

Today we put up our tree and decorated for Christmas!  Caysen found this very exciting and couldn't keep from getting into everything!  Derrick enjoyed examining every Christmas Tree Ornament....My favorite line of his was "Wow, this one is from 2005, that's not that long ago!"  I think that 6 years for a 7 year old is kind of a long time ago...but I guess not!  Brian spent a lot of time running from the Christmas Tree up to the Living Room to watch Football! :)  We had to find a new place for our tree this year since up in the living room would be pretty hard to keep Caysen away from it!  I think if it was easily in his reach he would have every present unwrapped and all the ornaments on the ground!  So down in the family room is probably a safe place for it this year....and maybe next!  We have a few pictures of decorating the tree and putting up the stockings!

Caysen is talking more and more!  Today he was playing with his Tiger and I told him it says "Grrrrr" and he made the Gr sound!  As I finish typing this he brings his lap top over to the table I'm typing on and pats on the chair saying "Uuuup".  I get him up on the table and he starts working on his computer!  Such a sweet, funny copy cat!  Love him!

I'm working on the computer, just like Mommy!

This is so Frustrating! Too many letters, Too many numbers!

Derrick putting the Angel on top of the Tree!

Caysen putting his Ornament on the tree....one of the very few he was able to concentrate enough on to get them on the tree!

Derrick putting one of his million ornaments on the tree.
